IPL Photofacial

Clarity, tone, and radiance, all in one.

IPL Photofacial — treatment
Laser — in clinic

IPL works against time to defeat brown spots, redness, and other discolouration brought on by sun exposure, aging, and genetics. Take years off sun-damaged areas with IPL. Skin tone plays a vital role in maintaining our youthful appearance, and in keeping the skin healthy.

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, and it targets a variety of skin concerns such as photo damage, sun spots, freckles, acne, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, redness, flushing, broken capillaries, and rosacea. The IPL pulses send the light wave through the skin’s surface, targeting specific pigment (melanocytes) within the skin. The light wave is turned to heat and absorbed by the pigment, destroying the melanocytes in the treated area. The treated, damaged pigment is broken up and then flakes away on the surface of the skin during the healing process.

I received my first IPL treatment a few weeks ago and I am so so happy with the results, it was exactly what I was looking for. My skin looks so clear and freckles are fading which is exactly what I wanted.

FAQ

Everything you need to know.

Absolutely! IPL is a highly versatile treatment that can be performed on the face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, and beyond. The hands and décolletage in particular are areas that accumulate significant sun damage over time and respond beautifully to IPL treatment. Many clients choose to treat multiple areas in a single session for a comprehensive skin rejuvenation result. Your provider will assess each area individually to ensure the most appropriate settings are used for safe and effective treatment across all zones.

IPL is a low-downtime treatment, making it one of the most convenient options for busy lifestyles. Immediately following treatment you may notice some mild redness and warmth in the skin, similar to a light sunburn, which typically resolves within 24–48 hours. Pigmented areas may temporarily appear darker (like coffee grounds) before naturally flaking away over the following 7–10 days, revealing clearer, more even skin beneath. Sun avoidance and diligent SPF application are essential during the recovery period to protect the skin and preserve your results.
